– Tonight on WWE SmackDown, RAW’s 30th Anniversary, the blue show begins with a video of Sami Zayn’s trial. The Usos and Solo Sikoa arrive in the arena, Sami Zayn sneaks up on Jey Uso to talk to him. He thanks him for what he did for him on RAW before hiding.
The SmackDown intro plays, then the pyros come out! The commentators welcome us to this final show before the Royal Rumble. Rey Mysterio then enters a match with Karrion Cross.
Singles Match
Rey Mysterio vs. Carrion Cross (accompanied by Scarlett)
At the end of the match, Scarlett Carrion interferes in the match in favor of Cross, but Rey Mysterio manages to hit the 619, followed by a splash on his opponent, followed by a fall… Cross gets to his feet at 2. Carrion tries to cross Rey Mysterio, but the latter counters him with a roll up for the win.
Winner: Rey Mysterio
– We see Austin Theory win over Bobby Lashley on RAW’s 30th anniversary thanks to interference from Brock Lesnar.
– Backstage, Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky talk about the Royal Rumble and say that when they work together, they’ll be hard to take down.
– The Austin Theory enters the US pipeline. “The champion is here,” he tells us in the ring. He’s still the champion and will win the Royal Rumble this Saturday! The New Day music hits and Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods come on stage. Kingston says he only respects 3 Austins: Austin Creed (Xavier Woods), Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the city of Austin, TX.
Does Austin Theory really think he’s going to win the Royal Rumble? The New Day taunts the champion and says the winner will be one of the two. Austin Theory asks them if they know who he is… he’s the biggest star in WWE! Miz’s music hits and he enters the ring. The Miz Theory says that he competed in Royal Rumble Matches before Theory was even an adult. At the Royal Rumble, he would swing The Austin Theory and 28 others over the top rope to win.
The Miz and Austin Theory attack The New Day, but Bobby Lashley comes in to join the fight. He grabs the mic and says he’s going to scare all the Royal Rumble wrestlers to get what they deserve. Brock Lesnar comes through the crowd and gives Bobby Lashley an F5, then announces he’s in the Royal Rumble!
– Backstage, Rhea Ripley says she’s ready for the Royal Rumble. This year is his.
Singles Match
Lacey Evans vs Jazmin Allure
At the end of the match, Lacey Evans forces her opponent to give up the Cobra Clutch.
Winner: Lacey Evans
– After the match, Lacey Evans says we’re going to be sad when she applies this submission to the other 29 wrestlers and sends them out on the third rope. Lacey Evans wants us to welcome the future winner of the Royal Rumble! Evans sends Jazmin Allure over the top rope.
– Backstage, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus make bets for the Royal Rumble before taking turns punching their partner. Kayla Braxton advises them to focus on tonight’s game against Hit Row.
– A video about Cody Rhodes is shown.
– Sheamus and Drew McIntyre tag in, but the Viking Raiders attack them from behind!
– During a commercial break, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre returned backstage, angry. In the ring, Adam Pearce announces that they will not be able to wrestle on Hit Row and that the team will be replacing them…it’s Braun Strowman and Ricochet!
SmackDown Tag Team Championship Contenders Tournament Semifinals – Tag Team Match
Braun Strowman & Ricochet vs Hit Row (Ashante Adonis & Top Dolla) (Accompanied by B-Fab)
At the end of the match, Ricochet flew over the top rope to jump on Top Dolla, while Braun Strowman got the win over Ashante Adonis.
Winners: Braun Strowman and Ricochet – Will face Imperium or Legado Del Fantasma in the finals.
– Backstage, Kayla Braxton asks Kevin Owens why he’s facing Solo Sikoa tonight when he’s already going up against Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. Owens replies that he’s doing it because he wants to be Universal Champion. 2 years ago, everyone was preventing him from winning the title. He needs to take care of the Bloodline members before the Royal Rumble. The Usos come in and brawl but the officials separate them.
– The Usos leave the arena and Jey Uso calls Sami Zayn and says he has something to ask him.
– Bray Wyatt’s old music plays… but his entrance is played by LA Knight. He says it’s 24 hours before his Bray Wyatt match and advises him to bring the advice Undertaker whispered in his ear on 30 years of RAW. Bray Wyatt appears on stage in a chair. He says that at the Royal Rumble, LA Knight will finally meet the man he’s been looking for. Let him rest tonight. When the lights go out…he’ll see! Uncle Howdy appears in the crowd.
SmackDown Tag Team Championship Contenders Tournament Semifinals – Tag Team Match
Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) vs Legado Del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro) (Accompanied by Zelina Vega)
At the end of the match, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci set up the Empire Bomb for the victory over Joaquin Wilde.
Winners: Imperium – Will face Braun Strowman and Ricochet in the finals
– A video about the numbers of the Royal Rumble is broadcast.
– Backstage, Xia Li announces her participation in the Royal Rumble.
– Backstage, Charlotte Flair joins Adam Pearce and asks for a title defense. Pearce accepts a match against Sonya Deville next week for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Also next week: Braun Strowman and Ricochet vs. The Empire in the tournament finals.
Singles Match
Kevin Owens vs. Solo Siko
At the end of the match, Kevin Owens climbs the third rope and does a Swanton on Solo Sikoa, followed by a pinfall…Sami Zayn interferes to save Sikoa!
Winner: No contest
Kevin Owens rolls out of the ring and Solo Sikoa Superkicks Sami Zayn trying to do it on Kevin Owens. The latter sets up the table, but Sikoa manages to regain the upper hand and sets Owens up through the table. He takes the height and jumps onto Owens, but Owens counters with a Superkick, then follows up with a Powerbomb through the table! Kevin Owens grabs a chair and stares down Sami Zayn…turns around and hits a Solo Sikoa!
The commentators introduce the Royal Rumble card and then the show is over.
