One of LG’s latest 65-inch 4K OLED TVs is on sale for an unprecedented price.

It was at the end of 2022 that LG introduced a new series of OLED TVs called CS. It’s a mix of the excellent C1 and C2 ranges: CS design comes from the former, performance comes from the latter. The LG OLED65CS model is a good example of this, and the good thing is that its price is not as high as it used to be, thanks to a €220 discount.

An already popular design
As mentioned above, the LG OLED65CS TV borrows the design of the models in the C1 range. And if the latter is no longer very young, its physical features are still noticeable, with clean lines, thin display bezels and a long, very sturdy metal leg. However, we won’t be privy to the new production design of the C2s, which benefit from a new composite fiber frame that reduces the weight of the entire TV.
On the other hand, when it comes to its screen, the LG OLED65CS really puts the panel of C2 TVs brighter than the C1. Otherwise, we will certainly benefit from endless contrasts, deep blacks and rich colors.
Good performance of C2 series
In the guts of the LG OLED65CS we will find the Alpha 9 Gen 5 processor that powers the TVs of the C2 range. This processor provides more efficient 4K resolution for displayed content and a higher level of detail than the previous generation. On the compatibility side, there will be HDR, HDR10, as well as Dolby Vision IQ, which is an evolution of the classic Dolby Vision and will focus on adapting the image to your surroundings for better perception of small details. On the audio side, we will benefit from Dolby Atmos emulation for a very spacious and immersive sound spread throughout the room.
The game is not forgotten
The LG OLED65CS TV is also quite suitable for gaming as it incorporates 4 HDMI 2.1 ports that allow 4K@120fps. Apart from compatibility with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD, ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode, which significantly reduces latency by automatically switching to a dedicated mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate, which combats screen tearing) will also be included. FreeSync. Add to that a refresh plate at 100Hz for more fluidity and a 1ms response time for more responsiveness.
Finally, this TV runs on the new webOS 22 interface, which brings some new features like multiple profile management as well as a new game bar.
