Another Czech hope, Jiri Lehecka, caused a major surprise by punishing Borna Coric (TDS 21) 6/3 6/3 6/3. Artur Rinderknech also exits the tournament through the back door after losing to Yosuke Watanuki (qualifier) 6/3 6/3 6/2.
Nadal breaks Draper! The Brit exploded physically and after winning in 4 sets (7-5, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1) sent the title holder into the second round.

Christopher Eubanks (USA) excels by ousting Adelaide 2 winner Soonwoo Kwon 6/3 6/7 6/4 4/6 6/4 on Saturday. Also a nice shot for Mackenzie McDonald, who came to beat compatriot Brandon Nakashima in 5 rounds.
In the night session, Stan Wawrinka, who said that he was ambitious and well prepared, lost in five sets against Alex Molkan (SVK). The Swiss served for the match in the 4th set before losing 6/7 6/3 1/6 7/6 6/4.
It’s a bad day for Switzerland as Marc Andrea Huesler will also lose in 5 sets against the experienced John Millman (AUS).

We start at the end of the first round matches with Thanasi Kokkinakis completely crushing Fabio Fogni. Unsurprisingly, but brilliantly, Adrian Mannarino dismisses John Isner, now limited on his serve, 6/7 7/6 6/2 6/2.
Auckland winner Richard Gasquet settles against Hugo Humbert 6/3 6/4 6/3. Enzo Couacaud, who qualified for the Australian Open for the first time, logically dominates Hugo Dellien (BOL) 6/4 7/5 6/0.
Laurent Lokoli also qualified, got off to a great start before losing in five sets against Michael Mmoh, who eventually saved a match point, 4/6 2/6 7/6 6/4 6/2.
Let’s go to the 2nd round with the roar of the night and defending champion Rafael Nadal, who lost in three sets against the American Mackenzie McDonald, suffered another hip injury 6/4 6/4 7/5 .
Frustrated by this new blow, the gutsy, mentally destroyed Mallorcan finished the game before leaving the tournament in tears, still in front of his wife.

We start with a big surprise by Jenson Brooksby. Last season’s discovery, the 22-year-old American played a full game. Od was everywhere with his legs and gradually got the better of No. 2 seed Kasper Ruud, 6/3 7/5 6/7 6/2.

Daniel Evans (GBR) and JJ Wolf (USA) easily defeated Jérémy Chardy and Diego Schwartzman. Hugo Humbert capitalizes on a good opening to dominate Denis Kudla (USA) 6/2 6/7 6/2 6/4.
Another American, Tommy Paul, knocked out Alejandro Davidovic Fokina (ESP, TDS 30) in five shots, as did Roberto Bautista Agut, who was heavily stopped by Brandon Holt (USA, qualifier).
Novak Djokovic is certainly going through this round 6/1 6/7 6/2 6/0, despite losing a set against Habs Enzo Couacaud.
After knocking out Matteo Berretti in the first round, Andy Murray wrote a new chapter in his legend by defeating tough, tough slugger Thanasi Kokkinakis after two shots down.
Indomitable, with energy from elsewhere, the Brit won 4/6 6/7 7/6 6/3 7/5 after 5 hours and 45 minutes of madness.

1/16 Tallon Griekspoor (HOL) 6/2 7/6 6/3 Stefanos Tsitsipas is very comfortable this week. Jannik Sinner was swept two sets to nil by the powerful Marton Fucsovics to win 4/6 4/6 6/1 6/2 6/0.
Felix Auger Aliassime logically eliminates Francisco Cerundolo 6/1 3/6 6/1 6/4. Mackenzie McDonald (USA) 7/6 6/3 6/2 Another successful match for left-hander Yoshihito Nishioka.
If the day’s matches didn’t all live up to their promise, that’s not the case for the night session, with 22-year-old tennis talent Sebastian Korda putting in a big performance against Daniil Medvedev.
The American, who won the junior tournament here in 2018, certainly produced one of the best performances of his career, winning 7/6 6/3 7/6. It remains to be seen if he can one day win the Australian Open like his father Petr, or like his sisters Nelly and Jessica, who are Australian Open golfers!
Just before, Karen Khachanov, who was physically and mentally terrifying, defeated Francis Tiafon 6/3 6/4 3/6 7/6 after saving six set points against her in the 4th round!
New Czech No. 1, 21 Jiri Lehecka proves to be at his best by dropping Cameron Norrie, who he wore down in previous rounds, 6/7 6/3 3/6 6/1 6/4.
We conclude with a huge victory for Polish giant Hubert Hurkacz over the excellent Canadian left-hander Denis Shapovalov 7/6 6/4 1/6 4/6 6/3.

The excellent Alex de Minaur, supported by his fans, beat Benjamin Bonzi in three sets 7/6 6/2 6/1 after 2 hours 08 of play. Not too worried about the very strong Andrey Rublev, winner 6/4 6/ 2 6 /3 Britain’s Daniel Evans.
Three sets too for Danish prodigy Holger Rune who dominated Ugo Humbert 6/4 6/2 7/6. Three more sets, this time in favor of JJ Wolf, very easy against the physically cooked Michael Mmoh 6/4 6/1 6/2.
Tommy Paul still needs three rounds to beat fellow American contender Jenson Brooksby 6/1 6/4 6/3.
Novak Djokovic, who always complains about his thigh, still knocks out a client like Grigor Dimitrov 7/6 6/3 6/4 in three sets without knowing what it is.
Roberto Bautista Agut logically defeated Andy Murray 6/1 6/7 6/3 6/4, who was physically exhausted after his previous fights, and the young phenomenon of US tennis, Ben Shelton, the author of extraordinary progress last year, Alexey Popirin 6. /3 6/7 6/4.
