Lightweight and portable projector

The first asset of the Samsung The Freestyle projector is undoubtedly its lightness: it is compact, it can even fit in one hand. Its dimensions do not deceive: it is only 104.2×172.8 mm for a diameter of 95.2 mm, and its weight is 800 grams. Suffice it to say, it can be easily carried either from one room to another or to another place entirely, as it can easily be put into a bag. Something that will radically differ from other references on the market, some of them are quite massive and therefore difficult to move.

Moreover, it will be possible to use it outdoors. To do this, it is enough to connect the device to an external battery via the integrated USB-C port.

Good brightness and 180° orientation

Its small size does not mean a messy image. The Freestyle can still project images in HDR-compatible Full HD resolution (ie 1,920 x 1,080 pixels) from 30 to 100 inches (with an oscillating throwback between 80 cm and 2.70 meters). On the brightness side, we will be entitled to 550 lumens, which allows us to enjoy a sufficiently bright image when all the lights are turned off (with a bright sun, the result will obviously be less bright). Thanks to autofocus, the display of images will always be sharp and detailed.

It should also be noted that if there is no white wall at home, the projector can adapt to the color of your wall and optimize the image thanks to intelligent calibration. In addition, its 180° orientation will allow it to project images, of course, on the wall, but also on the ceiling. Convenient for watching our content while lying down. Finally, on the sound side, the 5W speaker on board delivers rich 360-degree sound, guaranteeing a good immersive enjoyment thanks to the surround effect.

Samsung The Freestyle offers a Smart TV-like experience thanks to the connected features available. For example, we will find TizenOS, the internal operating system of the brand, which gives access to many advanced applications.
