In terms of laptops, Asus ROG has treated us to eccentric concepts or models at every new exhibition. But nothing will happen this year. Blame it on the laptop market, which is facing a difficult forecast, and above all on the already well-stocked ROG lineup, which has no less than 13 different models, just counting the chassis.
Hybrids: Flow X13, X16 and Z13
Therefore, the range of hybrids develops only at the level of on-board components. The Flow X13 (13.4-inch) and Flow X16 (16-inch) are fully convertible gaming laptops. Both are equipped with a GeForce RTX 4070 with 60 W for the X13 and 120 W for the X16: in other words, the performance will be mainly in favor of the 16-inch. The latter will carry a 13th generation Intel Core H-series processor, while the 13-incher will be powered by AMD’s Ryzen 7000. On the display side, the X13 will be available with QHD 165 Hz or Full HD 120 Hz IPS. panel, the X16 gets even more generous by housing a 240 Hz QHD IPS panel with optional Mini-Led backlighting.
The Flow Z13 sports an X13 screen clocked at 165 Hz with an X16 processor. On the other hand, the graphics part is entrusted to GeForce RTX 4060 (65 W).

Note that the Flow range has a special port for connecting an external graphics card. This year we have the right to buy a GeForce RTX 4090, but (beware!) in its laptop version with a limited thermal envelope of up to 150 W, for a paltry 2499 euros.
The Flow X13, X16, and Z13 will be available in the first quarter of 2023 for 1,899, 2,499, and 2,099 euros, respectively.
Slim and compact: Zephyrus M16, G14, G16 and Duo 16
ROG’s Zephyrus brings together slim and compact laptops. We mention the Zephyrus M16 model (2.2 cm and 2.1 kg) with a 16-inch QHD 240 Hz panel and Mini-Led variant; Equipped with 13 Gen Intel Core H series processor and 145 W GeForce RTX 4090.
Equipped with a 14-inch QHD 165Hz panel with a Mini-Led option, the Zephyrus G14 is powered by a Ryzen 700 and a 125W GeForce RTX 4090. These two models can be equipped with the AnimeMatrix option, which displays animations. hood, this year has more LEDs.
For dual-screen lovers, Asus is also updating the Zephyrus Duo 16, this year featuring a Ryzen 7000 and a solid 165W GeForce RTX 4090. This achievement is made possible by a mechanism that raises the second screen. opening the hood.
Like the Flow X16, it has a 16-inch QHD panel at 240Hz with Mini-Led option.

Zephyr’s ugly duckling, the G16, sits between the M16 and the G14. It serves as the entry level with a 13th generation Intel Core H series processor and a 120W GeForce RTX 4070. There are two options for its 16-inch IPS panel: QHD at 240 Hz or Full HD at 165 Hz. Available. Starting at €2,099 this quarter, it’s more affordable than the M16 at €1,799, the G14 at €2,499 or the Duo 16 at a stratospheric €4,499.
Heart of the wheel: Strix Scar 16,17 18 and G16, G17, G18
Finally, the most efficient ROG notebooks can be found in the Strix Scar range, available in 16, 17 and 18-inch diagonals, with a slightly reduced version: Strix G16, G17 and 18.
The Strix Scar 16 and 18 feature a 13th Gen Intel Core HX series processor paired with a 175W RTX 4090, accompanied by up to 64GB DDR5 and a 4TB SSD. There are two options for each IPS panel size: a 16-inch QHD 240 Hz, with or without Mini-LED, and a 240 Hz QHD panel in the 18-inch and, more strangely, a 165 Hz Full HD panel for curiosity’s sake. The Stix Scar 17, on the other hand, will “only” choose an AMD Ryzen 7000 and a maximum 2TB SSD. The Strix Scar 16 and 18 will be available this quarter starting at €3,999; Scar 17 is €200 cheaper.
